I gotta give props to this guy. Well done! Nice to see the attention to detail, like all the gauges seem to work, and the electronic idle. I like the idea of being able to go from 0 to 60 in 15 seconds.

This is a video of my 1L diesel startup. I found this truck in Ohio. The truck was totalled after just a year or two after rolling off the showroom floor. The owner bought it to fix up, but never got around to it. It had just 16,372 miles on the clock. Unfortunately he took the hood off and removed the air cleaner. So it sat outside for over 15 years with little or no protection. Even worse, when I got home I found the engine was seized. After removing the intake it was obvious there was a problem. I took the head off and found two stuck valves. After cleaning everything up and reassembling the motor- it was time to try to start it. Would it blow up or? It turned out fine, but I was very nervous for the first few seconds.

Seriously, I can think of better things to do with a new turbo diesel. Dang!
